The Lebanese Center for Active Citizenship LCAC

LCAC is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization established in 2006 in Tripoli, Lebanon by a team of activists with previous NGO experience. It aims to contribute to the awareness and improvement of civil rights and duties; promote innovative civic participation, democracy education, legal education and community service; and reengage youth in the decision-making process.

Our general purposes are:

- To contribute to the awareness and improvement of civil rights and civil duties.

- To promote innovation in the areas of civic participation, democracy education, law-related education, and community service.

- To renew the forms of activity among citizens and to encourage decision-makers to develop policies that are immediately relevant to citizens.
